Why does a water tank need cleaning every 6 months in the Eastern Province?
We recommend cleaning household water tanks at least every 6 months, because in the Eastern Province's heat tank water stays warm for months, so bacteria and algae multiply and sediment hardens at the bottom even when the water looks clear.

Dust plays a part too: on older or poorly-sealed tanks, fine particles can work their way in through gaps around the lid, which is why a quick inspection after a big storm is worth it. A well-sealed tank keeps most of it out.

How is the tank cleaned, and how long does it take?
Cleaning one tank takes 90 to 120 minutes, and the ground plus rooftop package 3 to 4 hours, with the water supply shut off for 1 to 4 hours depending on the tank. The water is safe to use as soon as the final rinse and refill are done.

Is there a guarantee on tank cleaning?
Yes. If you notice any unusual taste or colour in the water within 14 days of the clean, or the published steps were not delivered, tell us on WhatsApp and we arrange a free return visit to inspect and re-sanitise, with the same or another verified provider. On every visit the technician uses food-grade chlorine compounds that are safe for drinking water.
What does Zabbitna stand behind in this service?
Your payment is held until the job is done. You pay Zabbitna through a secure link. Your payment is held and is only released to your provider once the job is done: it is released 24 hours after the job is recorded as complete, unless you raise a note in that time.
Verified providers. We check every provider's Commercial Registration and match their activity to the service, check the municipal licence where one is required, and confirm their technicians are their own sponsored employees. Tell us on WhatsApp within 14 days of the service and we arrange a free return visit with the same or another verified provider: on AC cleaning if you are not satisfied with the result, and on tank cleaning if you notice an unusual taste or colour in the water, or the published steps were not delivered. On every other service, the warranty and what it covers are set out on this page, and we arrange whatever it provides for.
Refund mediation. If a return visit is not possible or not accepted, we refund you to the payment method you used, under the terms of service.
How much does water tank cleaning cost?
Water tank cleaning and sanitisation costs 300 per tank (ground or rooftop), the ground plus rooftop package 450, two rooftop tanks 450, and two rooftop tanks with the ground tank 650. Every package has a fixed price, and it is exactly what you pay, with no hidden fees.
